Recent Events leading up to Miss International 2011!

The contestants visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (Chengdu Panda Base), which is a non-profit organization engaged in wildlife research, captive breeding, conservation education, and educational tourism.

Decorated double deck buses, thousands of people in the streets and a very special parade took the streets of Chengdu by storm when the 67 contestants of Miss International 2011 greeted the locals while wearing their national costumes –again–.

The 67 took part in the annual Miss International Forum held at the Sichuan Tennis International Hotel. This forum, which is a tradition in the pageant since its inception, serves as a cultural exchange, as well as a platform for the contestants to explain what would they do should they win the title. Among the moderators for this forum was Miss International 2010 Elizabeth Mosquera of Venezuela, and Miss International 2009 Anagabriela Espinoza of Mexico who will also act as one of the final night’s judges.

Everything is ready for tomorrow’s pageant. The 67 delegates are ready for competition and a new Miss International will be chosen.
Don’t forget to tune into the Webcast tomorrow.
