Miss Tourism International Contestants visit RTM (Radio Televison Malaysia)

The contestants had the opportunity to visit RTM, home base of one of Malaysia’s major TV stations. During their stay they participated in a recording of Christmas carols for a television show, and also had the opportunity to try their talent as prime time news broadcasters.  After the tour of the building, the beauties were invited for a special Christmas lunch where they handed out gifts to orphans and also enjoyed some top-notch entertainment. The Department of Broadcasting, Malaysia, DBA Radio Televisyen Malaysia (abbreviated RTM), is a Malaysian state-owned public broadcaster. It owns and operates a number of radio and television stations in Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur. At present, RTM runs 6 national, 2 international, 17 state, 11 district radio stations and 2 television channels (terrestrial free-to-air) from Kuala Lumpur.
Five other Special Awards were given.  
Miss Czech Republic Jana Kopecka was chosen Miss Lumix Photogenic by attendants to the exclusive Panasonic Lumix GX1 launch held at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa in Kuala Lumpur.
Miss Tourism Singapore Amanda Leong won her second award after being chosen “Miss Overtime Fresh Face” during the inauguration of Overtime Bistro in Kuala Lumpur.

Miss Malaysia Gabriella Robinson was chosen “Miss Charity Queen” by a panel of judges during the Charity Auction Dinner held during the official visit of the contestants to the State of Penang, located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

Miss Tourism Costa Rica, Natasha Sibaja, was chosen the winner of the “Miss Focus Point Dazzling” competition held during the Focus Point Charity Gala Dinner which took place at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa on Wednesday.


Miss Tourism Thailand, Patsaraporn Khonkhamhaeng, was chosen “Miss KL Sogo Trendsetter” during a competition held at the Sogo department store in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. The beauties were given the task to be creative with their wardrobe and create a trend.

  1. If the goal is to transfer resources to the charity, one might question why charities go through the hassle of hosting an auction.
