Miss America's Outstanding Teen Elizabeth Fechtel celebrated her 18th birthday with the Miss Utah Organization this past week during a 5-day stay in the state.

The 18-year-old enjoyed her special day by swimming in a crater with Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen 2011, Tiare Keeno, enjoying the sites of Utah, and attending her birthday party at the Provo Beach Resort. Elizabeth enjoyed mingling with guests, a cake designed especially for her and a live band during the Monday night bash. Party guests were encourage to bring donations for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in lieu of gifts. Elizabeth ended her birthday with a challenging trip through a suspended ropes course at the resort with Jessica Richards, Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen 2012.

Elizabeth also had the opportunity to visit the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, where she was introduced as a special guest in the audience. The entire service was dedicated to Elizabeth as a special birthday gift from the choir. Elizabeth also had the opportunity to visit the Provo City Ballet to watch Tiare perform as the lead in the final performance of the ballet's "Signatures" concert.

During her stay, Elizabeth was interviewed by the Deseret News, one of Utah's largest newspapers, for a story featuring Elizabeth's visit to Utah and her dedication to volunteerism. Elizabeth also appeared on "The Daily Dish," a morning show on a local ABC affiliate station, with Jessica Richards. Elizabeth and Jessica shared about the MAOTeen organization and what it's like being a state and national titleholder.

Elizabeth ended her trip with a visit to the Children's Miracle Network Hospital headquarters in Salt Lake City where she was able to present the hospital staff with the donations she received at her birthday party.
