MISS AMERICA'S OUTSTANDING TEEN ORGANIZATION ANNOUNCES TUESDAY NIGHT'S PRELIMINARY AWARD WINNERS


Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen, Cassie Donegan; Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen, Jessica Procter; Miss Kansas' Outstanding Teen, Kristen Boxman

  

Orlando, FL - August 13, 2013 - Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen, Cassie Donegan was named Tuesday night's preliminary Talent winner for her vocal performance "The Girl in 14-G" during the first night of the 2013 Miss America's Outstanding Teen Competition at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Cassie will receive a $500 scholarship provided by Togatae Designs. Also in the spotlight was Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen, Jessica Procter who was the preliminary Evening Gown/On-stage Question winner. Jessica will receive a $500 scholarship provided by Regalia Magnificent Apparel. Miss Kansas' Outstanding Teen, Kristen Boxman was the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in So Sporty active wear. Kristen will receive a $500 scholarship provided by Jodi Fonfa. Miss America's Outstanding Teen is a scholarship-based program offering accomplished teens the opportunity to be awarded funds for college. The program promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens. In the past eight years, the organization has made available more than $4 million in college scholarships.
