Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen, Ashten Vincent; Miss Rhode Island's Outstanding Teen, Heather Shen; Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen, Jessica Procter; Miss Michigan's Outstanding Teen, Julia Smith


Orlando, FL - August 14, 2013 - Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen, Ashten Vincent was named Wednesday night's preliminary Talent winner for her vocal performance "Bring Him Home" during the second night of the 2013 Miss America's Outstanding Teen Competition at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Ashten will receive a $500 scholarship provided by Togatae Designs. Also in the spotlight was Miss Rhode Island's Outstanding Teen, Heather Shen who was the preliminary Evening Gown/On-stage Question winner. Heather will receive a $500 scholarship provided by Regalia Magnificent Apparel. Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen, Jessica Procter and Miss Michigan's Outstanding Teen, Julia Smith were the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winners in So Sporty active wear. Jessica and Julia will receive a $500 scholarship provided by Jodi Fonfa. Miss America's Outstanding Teen is a scholarship-based program offering accomplished teens the opportunity to be awarded funds for college. The program promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens.
